### _Vessel of Meditation_ for Singing Bowls and Computer \_______Jesse Allison, singing bowls Vessel of Meditation is a performance of singing bowls and real-time processing through MaxMSP and Jamoma. Prayer Bowls (also known as 'Himalayan bowls' or 'Singing Bowls) are a type of bell classified as a standing bell – the sides and rim of singing bowls vibrate to produce sound. Traditionally used throughout Asia as part of Bön and Tantric Buddhist sadhana, today they are employed worldwide both within and without these spiritual traditions, for meditation, relaxation, reflection, personal well-being and religious practice.
